Publishing and Distributing Educational Materials

Magazines: Eklavya publishes a monthly for children called Chakmak (in four colour); Shaikshanik Sandarbh for teachers and high school students; and Srote, a science and technology feature service. The objective is to provide quality reading materials on various subjects, especially in science.

Title Publications: Eklayva publishes about 30 new titles every year that include a wide range of books for early readers, activity materials, literature for and by children, educational classics, teachers' manuals etc.

Pitara: Activity centres cum outlets for quality educational materials like books, magazines, toys and science experiment kit developed by Eklavya and other organizations in the country. We have built a network of 20 Pitaras in 10 states, like Chattisgarh, Rajasthan, Bihar, UP, etc.

Hands-on Science Kit: Developed by Hoshangabad Science Teaching Programme (HSTP) with a view to provide a facility to the children / schools in rural as well as urban areas to gain hands-on practical experience in sciences. The kit can be used by an individual child or a group of 4-6 children as well as a demonstration set by the teacher. It is not only a comprehensive compilation of instruments, equipment, chemicals and miscellaneous items which are generally required for carrying out experiments by students in Physics, Biology and Chemistry but also includes items that would cater to their strong need to satisfy their curioucity and tinker with things around them.
